Being named a winner of the Independent Impact 50 awards for both 2025 and 2026… still buzzing from last week – SO SO chuffed! ✨

As freelancers and independent consultants, recognition like this matters more than people sometimes realise. Awards like these help build credibility, visibility and trust – all hugely important when your business is built around relationships, reputation and expertise.

Huge thank you again to the incredible clients, PR agencies, journalists, collaborators and wider network I’ve had the privilege of working with over the years – for the trust, support, brilliant partnerships and references that helped make this possible ✨

And honestly, being recognised by peers and people I genuinely respect for my overall contribution to the industry – while featuring alongside mentors and hugely influential figures in PR on the list – feels pretty surreal in the best possible way.

One theme that kept coming up during the event is that we need even more diversity and representation within spaces like this – more backgrounds, more voices, more perspectives, and more people who may not always feel confident enough to put themselves forward.

So here’s a little challenge: send these awards to 2-3 independent practitioners you genuinely admire and encourage them to apply next year 👏

And if you’re an indie yourself and do one thing for you this year – apply for these awards. It’s 1000% worth it!
